5-Star Pullman Resort Bunker Bay, Australia

Pullman Resort Bunker Bay

One of the most beautiful places on the planet is the South-West region of Western Australia. Rugged coastline combined with sleepy country towns nestled amongst the Karri trees and sprawling vineyards. The Pullman Resort Bunker Bay is the perfect base for exploring the region, situated in-between Cape Naturaliste and Eagle Bay, and just a half hour drive from Margaret River.

Part of the luxury hotel division of the Accor Hotel Group, Pullman Resort is the epitome of eco-luxe. With it’s beachfront location, large infinity pool, and luxurious villas in contemporary Australian style, the resort is a true haven. The staff greeted us as we pulled into the car park, and loaded our luggage onto a golf buggy before driving us and our luggage down to reception.

The boardwalk to the lobby is flanked with mini-rivers of water, and inside everything is wood and stone. Our jaws dropped at the view from the restaurant, it was truly breathtaking. After checking in we got back onto the golf buggy and they took us to our two-bedroom villa. The villa was gigantic; huge cathedral ceilings, gorgeous timber floors, and floor-to-ceiling windows on each end of the main room. In true Australian architectural style, the main room was open plan; the kitchen, dining room, and living room all flowing into each other, creating the feeling of light and space.

The bedrooms were full of modern gadgets including an iPod dock, but were quite cosy and petite, with the master en-suite bathroom almost the same size as the master bedroom! The bathroom had a humongous bathtub, large walk-in shower, and a his and hers sink. The amenities were by Roger & Gallett, who Accor use in many of their luxury hotels. A lovely little touch at the Pullman were the local handmade soaps carefully sat on the flannels.

All of the villas are within easy reach of the tennis courts, swimming pool, spa, and restaurant, and there’s a boardwalk leading over the sand dunes to the beach. The whole resort was so clean and had a very premium feel to it, and with WiFi only available in the main building, it gave us all a nice break from the internet and world of social media.

Pullman Resort Bunker Bay is the ideal holiday destination for families, couples, or friends looking for a relaxing getaway in a stunning area of natural beauty. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

2-bedroom villas at the Pullman Resort Bunker Bay start from £145 per night.
