As we descended to the top floor of the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane, my stomach flipped in anticipation of the views we were about to see. The bar at Galvin at Windows is next to the restaurant, but quite separate from it, and is full of dark mood lighting, comfortable seating and waiters trained to perfection. My friends and I sat at a table next to one of the floor-to-ceiling windows, where we watched the lights all over London twinkling away.
We went through the cocktail menu, and although pricey they were delicious! After tasting the West Indies and French Lover, I then tried a more innocent Notting Hill, which along with the others got a resounding thumbs-up. This is certainly somewhere to come for the cocktails!
The atmosphere in Galvin at Windows is cool and sophisticated, with a touch of class. It would be a great bar for a date, or just drinks with friends. Another plus is that they do bar snacks, from the traditional Vegetable Crisps, right up to Queen Scallops & Pancetta Brochette. Of course if you want something slightly more special than bar snacks, the Michelin starred Galvin at Windows restaurant is just a step away from the bar.
